Part II: Data Presentation

Data used to create graphics in the first part of this book are present in Part II in tabular format. The tables are arranged by chapter and follow the same sequence as the panels in the chapters. Locating the appropriate table should, therefore, be easy.

In most instances, the data shown are the same as those used to generate the graphics. From time to time, however, additional time series are presented or data are presented for more years. For an explanation of the data, please consult the panel in which they are used. The tables carry some explanatory notes, but the relevance of the data — and the reasons they were selected — are not spelled out.

Tables carry source notes. However, for more information on the subject, including other sources of information, please consult the source notes and (if present), the footnotes shown in the relevant panel in Part I of this volume.
